School Donations Scheme

Ngākōroa School has opted into the Ministry of Education’s School Donations Scheme.
This means that instead of requesting voluntary donations from whānau, we receive an additional $150 per student directly from the Ministry.

As a result, we do not charge parents or caregivers for school-based activities, local excursions, or curriculum-related events.

The additional funding we receive goes directly toward supporting our school’s budget — helping to cover the costs of our kaiawhina, school trips, and stationery.

Families will only be asked to contribute to out-of-school sports, external assessments or competitions, and school camps.

This approach ensures that every tamaiti at Ngākōroa can access rich and equitable learning experiences, without cost being a barrier to participation.
